In the past few weeks, GPA Luxury has revealed the results of several different Chinese New Year collaborations with leading whisky brands. The latest to be unveiled is this exceptional luxury pack for Glenfiddich’s 21-Year-Old Gran Reserva whisky, a single malt which is matured in Caribbean rum casks.
GPA’s pack has the same basic design at the case they produced for Glenfiddich’s Grand Cru. It features a super-premium rigid board structure and eschews the usual front flap opening for something more inventive: a rotating central compartment attached to the front face.
The most distinctive aspect of this limited-edition pack is its inventive, colourful design, which was litho-printed onto premium art white paper and embellished with gold foils. The design was created by Chinese illustrator Rlon Wang and offers a nod to both the traditions of Lunar New Year and the birthplace of the whisky.
By pulling on a small golden ribbon attachment on the front of the pack, the user can rotate the pack open, revealing the whisky. The bottle compartment is lined with the same illustrated paper and features two fitments in the base and the top, colour-matched in the same bright orange as the shrink capsule on the bottle.
