Jack Sparrow – Original Rum

Jack Sparrow Original Rum Concept is inspired from the Movie Sequels “Pirates of The Caribbean”, The design looks very simple yet it took lot of work to make it dynamically realistic. From calculating the volume of liquid (rum) in the canon, to finding the right pivot point to hold it without freely flipping and be able to tilt the bottle and empty it without tilting the cart or cradle.

There are lots of small meticulous details all over the model(s) from the tiny canon wick, to the bottle cap which is a combination of a cork and a miniature barrel cap with a rope handle. You may notice as well the rivets everywhere to fasten the metal to the wood as well as the studs to hold the wheels in place.

Back to the box, there several pairs of hinges to open the top lid and open the front with accurately measured stopping points. The chest lock is rather cosmetic rather than a real lock.

As for the texture of wood, it was carefully chosen and edited for a more luxurious look rather than using old oak wood with rough finish, at the end of the day you need a classy piece of art to sit in your Louis XV Vetrine (Glass Cabinet).

Finally, A fine original Jamaican rum brand has adopted the design and will soon be marketed under a different brand, yet to be decided upon.

Finally, we have removed all additional  safety packaging elements (Foam / Carboard / Paper) that hold all items in place and protect them from jumping around or crashing into each other during shipping & handling.
