NOVIA, a premium tea brand from Lac Vuong Group, extracts the pure essence of Vietnamese tea leaves through a rigorous control process from harvesting to processing. From lush green tea hills high in the mountains, young tea buds are hand-picked and carefully selected. The tea is then processed using traditional techniques combined with modern technology, ensuring the preservation of its natural flavor and precious nutrients. Beyond creating superior tea lines, NOVIA is also a partner to the beverage industry, providing comprehensive ingredient solutions, from high-quality tea bases to unique supplemental ingredients. Trusted by baristas, bartenders, restaurants, cafes, and bubble tea shops, NOVIA is committed to delivering high-quality products that contribute to creating sophisticated beverages and meeting all creative needs.

ASSIGNMENT:

Vivian Creative is delighted to collaborate with Lac Vuong Group on the packaging design project for the NOVIA premium tea product line. The goal is to create a strong visual impact, capturing consumer attention at first glance on store shelves. The product lines include: Jasmine Green Tea, Earl Grey Tea, Black Tea, Oolong Tea, Whole Leaf Black Tea, Jade Orchid Green Tea, Roasted Rice Tea, and Oolong Vortex Tea.

The challenge is to establish a distinct identity for each tea type while maintaining consistency and a strong connection across all product lines within the brand.

SOLUTION & PROCESS:

To meet Lac Vuong Group’s requirements, Vivian Creative chose a flat illustration design style with the following key features:

  • ​​​​​​Minimalist and Refined: Focus on simple geometric shapes, clean lines, and flat colors, creating a modern and elegant aesthetic.
  • ​​​​​​​Bright and Contrasting Colors: Utilize a vibrant color palette with high contrast to create a strong visual impact and capture attention.
  • ​​​​​​High Symbolism: Select illustrative details with high symbolic value, evoking the natural origins and unique flavors of each tea type.
  • ​​​​​​​Consistency: Develop a cohesive design system that ensures a connection between all product lines while still creating subtle differences.
  • ​​​​​​​Encapsulating Natural Beauty: Evoke associations with the product’s origins through the selection of shapes, colors, and small details.
