Burgopak designs packaging that provides a peek into the gut
Packaging design company Burgopak has designed and manufactured packaging for myBioma’s microbiome testing kit. The graphics on the pack interact with the revealing opening mechanism, to represent a literal peek inside the gut.
The packaging uses Burgopak’s patented sliding system and has a staged set up that helps guide users through the at-home test in a few easy steps. It contains a leaflet, sample container with a preservative fluid, a stool catcher and a pre-paid return envelope.
Once the sample reaches myBioma, it’s processed in a lab and analysed using DNA sequencing methods.
Willemijn Zandt, senior project manager, wellness, Burgopak, said:
“myBioma’s gut testing is sophisticated and professional, yet their brand is friendly and approachable. It was imperative that the packaging reflects that taking care of your gut can be easy and straightforward. The right packaging not only protects the kit inside, but it also builds trust, adds credibility and offers emotional reassurance to the customer.”
Nikolaus Gasche, Founder and Managing Director at myBioma, said:
“The team at Burgopak collaborated with us to explore the different options, including the right combination of size versus opening mechanism. We are delighted with the final pack which looks great and is simple to use.”
The packaging was created with folding box board, a polypropylene (PP) band and a grosgrain ribbon for a finishing touch. The pack was printed using litho technology.
Burgopak are specialists in designing packaging for at-home testing kits, other recent projects include packaging for Inne and Chuckling Goat.
