A Cultural Legacy – Chop Kilishi

A Cultural Legacy – Chop Kilishi

Mauricio Parra

The main objective of this project was to introduce the world to the real Kilishi, made with quality and cultural authenticity, seeking to convey a legacy of flavors from African cuisine and ensure that the brand made a positive impact by revamping its packaging with a more modern and minimalist design, but above all, to connect with new generations of consumers, those from other countries who seek to reconnect with their roots and celebrate their culture of origin through Nigeria’s most iconic snack.

Kilishi is not just a food, but part of an identity, known for its spiciness, smoky flavor, and artisanal preparation, values that were key when conceptualizing the identity of the packaging, typography, illustrative style, and those vibrant colors that make it stand out and manage to convey the essence of each flavor in its different presentations. It’s not just a product or a brand, it’s a history and a tradition that we wanted to enhance and evolve visually, so that this cultural legacy continues to transcend from generation to generation.
