Vino Canto is a new private label wine collection created in collaboration with Financial Papers, bringing together design, print expertise and a clear conceptual direction. The client approached 43oz with the idea of uniting wine and song, but without relying on literal musical imagery. The challenge was to build a flexible visual system that could work across two still wines and one sparkling, while maintaining the emotional clarity suggested by the name.

The studio developed a metaphor-driven concept centered around a singing bird, used as a symbol of natural voice and pure expression. The label composition is intentionally minimal, allowing rhythm, proportion and subtle graphic accents to form a visual melody. Color differentiation supports the structure of the range, while the overall restraint keeps the collection cohesive and contemporary.

Vino Canto demonstrates how a simple poetic idea can transform into a distinctive brand language. Through clean forms, quiet symbolism and carefully balanced tone, the collection captures the essence of a name by letting the label itself “sing”.
