Welcome to Amdavad ni Galiyaari, an immersive experience box designed to uncover the hidden gems and vibrant culture of Amdavad, Gujarat.
The word galiyaari means “Galliyon ka raatri” Amdavad ni Galiyaari is a fusion of exploration, education, and excitement, aimed at promoting tourism and fostering a deeper connection with the city. Embark on a journey of discovery with Galiyaari and experience Amdavad like never before. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or a curious explorer, let Amdavad ni Galiyaari be your guide to unlocking the treasures of Amdavad’s cultural landscape.
Overview:
Amdavad ni Galiyaari offers adventurers a journey through Amdavad’s rich tapestry of food, leisure activities, architecture, museums, faith, shopping, and annual events. Each category is meticulously curated to showcase the essence of Amdavad, blending history, tradition, and modernity.
Interactive Experience:
At the heart of Galiyaari lies an interactive book, bursting with colorful graphics and playful illustrations that encapsulate the spirit of Amdavad. Within its pages, travelers will discover detailed descriptions of key landmarks and attractions. The book serves as a guide and journal, featuring checkboxes, stickers, and space for personal reflections. Another key element of the box is cultural cards that have unknown stories, fun facts and famous recipe cards of the city for the people to know their city a little better.
Reward System:
As travelers embark on their journey through Amdavad’s diverse offerings, they have the opportunity to unlock charming rewards from the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC). Upon completing any one of the seven categories, adventurers receive a unique charm that can be affixed to their clothing, bags, or the provided frame, serving as a tangible memento of their exploration.
Digital Integration:
To track progress and engage with the Amdavad Heritage App, travelers are encouraged to submit selfies at each visited location. The app acts as a digital companion, seamlessly recording achievements and providing additional insights into Amdavad’s cultural heritage.
Structure and details:
To optimize the packaging and to make it compact we made a book like outer structure almost the size of A-5 made with 120gsm printed paper pasted on 2mm grey board with the dimensions 22015840mm and inside for the cultural cards primary packaging and book cover 280 gsm paper is used. After much explorations we then came to a conclusion that the structure needs to be minimal and small for it to be handy and doesn’t require much space for storage and sustainable for the AMC and to not give a corporate feel certain opening experience of the boxes are provided such as the cultural cards primary packaging.
Graphics and Design:
Galiyaari’s graphics are a visual feast, incorporating vibrant pop colors and whimsical doodles that capture the essence of Amdavad. From the iconic architecture of the Old City to the bustling streets of the marketplaces, every detail is meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of wonder and excitement, inviting travelers to immerse themselves in Amdavad’s unique charm. When one looks at the box they get a feel of amdavad right at that moment
Future Vision:
We’ve decided that “Galiyaari” is the umbrella name and as mentioned above it means “galiyon ka yaatri” that is visitors of the streets and “galiyaa” is the way through all the cities in India and that’s what makes all cities unique in itself. The product and packaging that we’ve made is for ahmedabad and that’s why we’ve named it “amdavad ni galiyaari” as that’s how the locals would say it. Our vision is to have galiyaari for all cities in India such as “Mumbai chi Galiyaari” or “Amritsar di Galiyaari” and so on,where each cities municipalities will be part of the process as they know the city to its core.
