Ritter Sports Chocolate Bar – Designing History

Objective
Redesign the package design and structure for the chocolate bar Ritter Sports.

Solution
Ritter Sports was one of the only chocolate bars back in the day to have a square-shaped bar that would fit into a varsity pocket. This is a history they have that has stuck with them all of these years. To keep the heritage, I looked back at typography and graphics from the 1900s and used that as an influence to design the chocolate bar.
