Bluelights is a company that makes the benefits of psilocybin microdosing treatments accessible to people. The creative objective was to visually recreate the experience the user “travels through” during the three-month treatment journey. Starting from the scientific theory suggesting that mushrooms are microorganisms that originated from the stars, we developed a series of three packages that represent each stage of the journey, demonstrating how a capsule can become the ideal vehicle for navigating the experience.
Each year, alternative treatments gain greater commercial relevance as solutions to modern-day needs, particularly within creative, technological, and physical-mental wellness fields. This creates a clear need to democratize and professionalize access to these types of medicines, which were not previously considered viable alternatives. By using packaging as a communication medium to provide precise guidance on how to take the capsules and outline the expected benefits throughout the treatment, Bluelights positions itself as a conceptual reference point, bringing visibility to the benefits generated by psilocybin microdosing.
The objective was to use packaging as a communication tool that accurately describes the stages of the journey—a three-month treatment, with one box per month—and their distinct experiences. The narrative begins on the ground (connection), progresses into orbit (perspective), and concludes among the stars (belonging). The primary graphic resource is the variation of color through a gradient, conceptually reflecting the distance one might experience from the Earth’s core to the outer edges of the universe.
