Conscious, the original organic, vegan, raw chocolate has been rebranded by Bath-based agency The Space Creative with the aim of giving the brand greater appeal in an increasingly popular market.

Conscious first launched in 2004 and is now set to unveil its bold new look which has been rolled out across an extensive range of mouth-watering chocolate bars.

As specialists in transforming challenger brands into key players within their categories, brand design agency The Space Creative were chosen to deliver the rebrand as part of Conscious’s growth strategy.

With a rapid increase in the demand for free-from and plant-based chocolate, the rebrand was crucial in bringing new consumers to the brand. The brief was to link the desire to be healthier with the pleasures that you can enjoy as part of a healthier lifestyle, all whilst communicating the superior taste of the product.

The Space Creative have designed beautiful new branding and packaging for the original raw chocolate pioneers while successfully bringing to life the brand proposition of “chocolate on another level”.

David Thomson, Creative Director at The Space Creative says “we created dreamlike illustrations of a cacao harvester combined with a magical misty mountain backdrop under a canopy of stars to ensure stand out against the other raw chocolate brands on the market”.

The chocolate fixture is seeing a huge shift towards premiumisation with consumers wanting more authentic and higher-quality chocolate. To reflect the premium qualities of the ingredients, the Conscious logo was foil blocked to elevate the brand.

The new packaging appeals across all sales channels, from health food stores to mainstream supermarkets.

In addition, in order to further communicate the brands eco-friendly ethos, the packs have been created using recycled board and plant-based ink meaning that they are fully home compostable.

The new packaging, which will be rolled out across a range of 30g and 60g bars, will launch in retailers across the UK in Spring 2019.
