Giotsas Feta cheese, a local family brand form Elassona, producing cheese that fights for tradition and natural products, aims to win over all health-conscious consumers and even global markets with their persistence to naturality and simple yet delicious recipes.
One of their goals is, within the borders of their provincial city, to build the foundation for a pilot livestock farming that could inspire and teach the entire country about their methodology around farming and cheese production.
We were commissioned by this lovely family to develop a visual identity -including packaging- for their cheese, capable of making their product and mission stand out from the dairy market and also win the shelf competition. Hence, a unique design to increase popularity and re-direct consumers’ attention to the purest ingredients was necessary.
We crafted an, eye-catching, design based on minimal aesthetic -to reflect the simplicity yet brilliance of the recipe-, recognizability -to be etched in the memory of consumers and distinguish itself on the shelf-, freshness -to reflect the new age of things and speak to younger audience as well- and lastly, pureness -to point out the naturality of the brand.
Therefore, the final composition on the packaging was formed in a way to manifest successfully all the aforementioned elements, with the chosen illustrated emblems presented in a bold and traditional way, able to communicate notably the message of nature. Not to forget the information clarity on the packaging denoting the genuine attention to consumers’ diet.
The outcome: two white, well-fed sheep displayed as the leading figures, in front of a dark blue font, so as to monopolize the attention in a design that portrays a familiar yet elegant feeling.
