Tranampelo stands for Trana Ampelia which means Strong Vines. Located just outside Glinado village on the island of Naxos, Konstantinos Makridimitris has set up a new project embracing organic viticulture and local varieties.

Juggling amongst herbs and citrus trees, Tranampelo expresses the effort to revive the viticulture activity on the island. Odd blend reflects the traditional paradox of planting red and white indigenous varieties in one single plot, aiming for a combined harvest and vinification. Potamisi is one of the oldest indigenous varieties, whose history is linked with Naxos as it is one of the main grapes found on this historic island.
