Although focusing on aloe, unlike usual packaging that uses actual objects, illustrations are used in this case. As illustration plays an important role in modern visual design, its possibility is also unlimited in comparison to photography.

Thus, an aloe-like reverse contrast font, Golemi Display Regular, is used to depict the thickness of aloe. The eye-catching feature of the font also allow the characters to pop out even when it is interwoven with the plants of aloe.

The transparent fresnel lens that are used at the bottom of the packaging symbolize the flesh of aloe, whilst the split design of the visuals allows the packaging to accommodate itself into all kinds of space, either horizontal or simply piled-up.

POTW Curator’s Insight

The visual split design isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about adaptability. It’s like the packaging is a chameleon, seamlessly blending into various spaces – whether it’s resting horizontally or stacked with others. It’s a unique take on design that marries form and function.
