This project is based on Louie Wingz & Catfish, a local restaurant based in Valparaiso, IN. The project intends to transform the restaurant into a food truck, creating its visual identity along with a digital menu and to-go containers. Louie Wingz was created to bring love to the Valparaiso community over one of Chicago’s favorite cuisines, wings and catfish.
The rebrand holds itself to the following keywords: authentic, soulful, and friendly.
The logo is inspired by the warm and welcoming colors of typical Southern restaurants, with a script typeface to highlight the authenticity of the restaurant and its food. A recurring element throughout the identity includes different variations of sauce dripping, which is an aspect of Louie Wingz & Catfish that takes their food from good to great. The sauce is what heightens and separates this restaurant from their competitors.
Together, the food truck wrap, the digital menu, and the to-go containers maintain a consistent identity to attract customers and enhance the overall dining experience.
