Boontree is a newcomer to the canned food industry, the design must stand out from the competition. So we created the concept “Authentic Thai Curry, Freshly Cooked”.
The shape of the can is similar to a Thai lunch box (Pin To). The image of curry is placed on the can’s lid to make the design more eye-catching. Because if you look at it from the top, it seems to be open and you can see the curry inside. This creates a wow effect and allows customers to simply select their curry. Furthermore, it’s as if you’re lifting Pin To when the cans are stacked on the shelf and you lift them one by one.
The gold design on the side of the can is reduced from the Benjarong pattern, but altered to match the type of curry in the can to emphasize the selling point of Thai flavor. Due to the limited structure of the pouch, make a unique design by using a free-form pouch and add an image of a curry bowl overflowing the pouch’s edge slightly to the side. It’s as if you’re putting the real curry bowl on the shelf.
