The Beacon of Arts and Sciences: Valencia Illuminates with a New Touch
The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain, is a premier cultural and architectural marvel. This innovative complex blends arts, sciences, and technology in a striking modern setting, offering both educational and immersive experiences. Located in Valencia’s heart, it features iconic structures like the Science Museum, the Hemisférico, and Europe’s largest aquarium, making it a significant destination for discovery and exploration.
We drew inspiration for the design of the City of Science and Arts identity from various elements derived from our world, as well as the architecture, landmarks, and values of the city. We relied on a blend of shapes, colors, and models that reflect the essence of the city and its artistic and scientific spirit.
In selecting the colors, we were inspired by galaxies, seas, and oceans, as well as the captivating lights and atmosphere of the city. We chose blue in its various shades as the primary color, symbolizing depth, knowledge, and creativity. We added a luminous touch of yellow and white to represent innovation, energy, purity, harmony, and the future.
As for the icon and shapes of the logo, they were chosen based on several criteria and values derived from different elements. The overlapping artistic shapes, solar orbits, and galaxies symbolize the harmony between arts and sciences, while the circulatory system and the well-known atomic model in the world of knowledge reflect vitality, precision, and scientific research.
