The year 2050 has sought immense reformations of technological and biological advancement within the medical field. Biotechnologies have become a standard way of life, ultimately accommodating the changing needs of humans and their desire to pursue the full capacities of these new and rapid emerging technologies. No longer do humans turn to traditional forms of medication, now clinics leverage ‘bio-seed’, nano technologies to efficiently pack medications into compact forms that are taped to a patient’s skin. Once applied, the seed works almost immediately and are absorbed transdermally, releasing the medication into the blood stream. The impacts of these technologies have revolutionised medicine, transforming the sterile medication experience once known to humans, into something that is an empowering ritual. These technologies have not only blurred the lines between technology and nature, but also between technology and ethics, cultivating a society that has lost bodily autonomy amidst the trust placed in emerging technology. Cynthiceed aims to expose the exciting and unknown potential of future emerging technologies and their wearisome implications, acting as a conversational tool in warning society to consider these speculative ideas.

Cynthiceed features custom typography and 10 tiny, functioning 10mmx5mm rectangles.
