Ramo de Oliveira is a premium extra virgin olive oil brand that embodies tradition, craftsmanship, and excellence. Rooted in the rich olive-growing heritage of Alentejo, Portugal, the brand delivers an authentic and refined tasting experience.

This project was an opportunity to craft a visual identity that reflects the superior quality of both Ramo de Oliveira and its Reserva range. The design balances elegance and authenticity through carefully chosen typography, a sophisticated color palette, and delicate olive branch illustrations that highlight the product’s artisanal origins. A subtle contrast between the classic and Reserva labels reinforces their distinction—while both exude refinement, the deeper hues of the Reserva edition emphasize its exclusivity.

Typeface and color Palette

Ramo de Oliveira’s identity is built on a harmonious combination of Amandine and Brandon Grotesque, two typefaces that balance tradition and modernity. Amandine has an elegant, organic feel that reflects the artisanal nature of the olive oil, while Brandon Grotesque adds a clean, modern touch, ensuring clarity and balance in the design. Together, they create a refined yet approachable identity.

The color palette is inspired by the natural beauty of olive groves. Deep greens represent the strength of the trees and the freshness of the olives, while warm golden tones reflect the richness of the oil itself. A soft, off-white background keeps the design light and sophisticated, making everything feel fresh, natural, and timeless.

Expanding the Identity – The 3L Olive Oil Tin Can

Building on the refined aesthetic of Ramo de Oliveira, the 3-litre olive oil tin can was designed to maintain the brand’s premium essenc​​​​​​​e while offering a practical and elegant packaging solution for larger quantities. The minimalist approach, with a clean white background and gold accents, reinforces the purity and sophistication of the product. Subtle embossed details, like the olive tree illustration, create a tactile experience that enhances its artisanal feel.

This format not only ensures the preservation of the olive oil’s quality over time but also aligns with the brand’s commitment to timeless elegance and authenticity.
