Kumasi Drinks has an incredible story—and an even more remarkable product: a refreshing beverage made from the often-wasted pulp of the cacao fruit. When Kumasi shares their story in person, people are instantly captivated and eager to learn more.
But on the shelf, without a passionate ambassador to bring it to life, that intrigue doesn’t always translate. Kumasi realized their packaging wasn’t fully capturing what makes them unique. It was time for a change.
The Approach
We started by listening. Through consumer research, we asked:
“What makes Kumasi Drinks special to you?”
Here’s what we heard:
“It’s a party in a can!”
“100% natural—I love that.”
“A delicious, tropical flavor.”
“Finally, something truly different.”
These insights became the foundation of the redesign. Our goal? To make Kumasi’s packaging communicate with the same energy, clarity, and vibrancy as their in-person storytelling—bringing out the playfulness, authenticity, and bold flavors that set Kumasi apart.
