Founded in 1884, Stock Spirit Italia is 140 years old. To celebrate its history and roots, the company launches BITTERISSIMO, the new celebratory bitter inspired by Stock’s eccentric style.
It is a product intended for the Horeca channel, with a strong character, which conquers sight and smell with its intense ruby red colour and intriguing, decisive aromas.
A product personality that Break has transformed into an equally decisive and eccentric visual identity. It is deliberately a celebratory one, drawing inspiration from the movements that were beginning to take shape in the company’s early years, from the futurism of Marinetti and Depero to the international avant-garde whose giant cubital, full-label typography we used for Bitterissimo. Yet, we kept it clear and readable!
We also shouted the swaggering personality through an insistent use of gold on a dark background, a metaphor for the superlative “issimo” in the name, insisting on its unique and proud eccentricity. And on superlative extravagance also feeds the slogan: the ‘superlative aperitif that creates diversion’, positioning Bitterissimo as the best way to give classic aperitifs and cocktails a boost, by simply borrowing two fingers of its great personality.
Founder Lionello Stock’s signature on the bottle underline the celebration of the Stock’s values. His thought was that ‘the good things in life are made to enjoy, savour and share’. His ideas have entered the DNA of the company which has written a long history of success following its mission to ‘enhance the flavours of life’.
