The following points were kept in mind before designing the new packaging for lentils:
i. Eliminates the use of another container and spoon.
ii. Protects the lentils from moisture and insects.
iii. The container can measure the lentils poured.
iv. The lentils should be visible from outside, since consumers in India prefer to check and buy such products.
v. Cost of packaging should not rise majorly.
vi. Illegible fonts on top of transparent packaging to be eliminated.
vii. Focus on information like All-natural / farm-fresh / natural flavor, etc.As a brand TATA is known worldwide because of its product’s reliability & consistency. TATA I-Shakti Dal has penetrated in the market and people’s mind because of the feauture “Unpolished Dal”. Being a college assignment, we took up TATA I-Shakti as our brand.
What’s Unique?
Our packaging is inspired by tetra pak. The lentils will be poured and can be stored in the same packaging since it contains food grade plastic which has excellent chemical resistant properties. Paperboard is the main material, it provides stability, strength and smoothness to the printing surface also. The graphics is clean and legible. The unique shape makes the lentils storage easy and covers all the pain points kept in mind before designing.
