This Viña Cobos wine is one of Argentina’s favorite and best-selling brands. It was originally created as part of a line of entry level products, where each product made reference to an animal (Feline, Crocodile, Lizard). Later, the winery simplified the line and Felino became the only entry level, above Crocodile, while Lizard disappeared. In the transition, Lizard’s artwork became the one used for the entire range. Later YG was hired to update its image. YG decided to remove the lizard and to keep a very subtle connection with the product’s original style, reminiscent of aboriginal art. The result is a neat elegant label developed with remarkable technical skill. Abstract background shapes stand out with a distinctive style only slightly reminiscent of the previous label.
