Manhattan. Just the sound if it creates a whole range of colorful images in one’s mind. Bright lights and a forest of skyscrapers. People rushing everywhere and celebrities hanging out at posh clubs. Central Park and Christmas songs. A city that never sleeps, and the pulse of which sets the pace for the whole world. And, of course, the famous Manhattan cocktail that’s so familiar to any whiskey lover. The latter became a part of the pre-mixed cocktail collection based on the popular bourbon Bandwagon, for which we’ve developed the label design.
Despite the fact that the history of Manhattan begins somewhere around the middle of the 19th century, we’ve been inspired by a later period when creating the design for the Manhattan cocktail – the Jazz Age. The bloom of jazz music and dance took place during the 1920’s and overlapped with the Prohibition in the USA, fusing into a rich cultural heritage of that period. The overall aesthetic of the Roaring Twenties has set the tone for this project. And we’ve created a design that reflects the dynamic and shifting spirit, which permeated all spheres of life in the Big City back in those days.
