The creation of a range of varietals was born of the success of the estate’s white wine, ANTHOINETTE, which is an opportunity to meet consumer expectations and reconnect with a younger audience looking for something well-made and elegant. The CAP-CASTERA brand appears as an emanation of the ANTHOINETTE white wine, with a nod to Château Castera.
In addition to finding the name and establishing a hierarchy, the workshop’s mission was to give these cuvées an elegance respectful of the great wine of which ANTHOINETTE is an unusual emanation since it is bottled in Burgundy and made from Sauvignon grapes. CAP-CASTERA quickly found its niche and is now enjoying success in supermarkets.
