A Packaging Solution for a Takeaway Ice-Cream Sundae Experience

The current takeaway ice cream sundaes have been served in simple containers, failing to preserve the distinct flavors and freshness of the ice cream and its toppings. The current packaging allows the ice cream to melt quickly and the toppings to become soggy, diminishing the overall experience. Moreover, there is no clear way to differentiate between flavors at a glance, leading to a lack of personalization.

To elevate the ice-cream sundae experience, this new packaging introduces a multi-part solution: an outer packaging skeleton for protection, a dedicated toppings box to keep toppings fresh and separate, and a distinctive sticker for flavor identification. The ice cream container opens into a bowl, maintaining the integrity of the sundae’s components. By separating the ice cream and toppings, we prevent sogginess and preserve the flavor of each ingredient. Stickers are also used to visually differentiate the packaging based on the flavor, providing an easy way to identify the sundae.
