WHY

The idea for Solace Candles came from my desire to create something different—candles that not only offer distinctive fragrances beyond the usual vanilla or lemongrass but also feature visually appealing, illustrated packaging. In the hustle of modern life, finding moments of peace can feel unachievable. It was from this longing for tranquility that Solace was born—a candle brand inspired by nature. It’s embracing the art of gentle living—where the small, quiet moments matter the most.

THE IDENTITY AND PACKAGING

The logo features a serif font with rounded edges, giving it a softer and inviting feel. The open counter in the letter “O” symbolizes the need to pause and breathe amidst a busy world, reflecting Solace’s philosophy of finding moments of peace and embracing gentle living

The concept of the logo is carried forward into the packaging, where circles are used throughout the design to represent oxygen. These forms echo the same message, reminding us of the importance of breathing and reconnecting with ourselves. The color palette features tints and shades of blue, green, and violet, designed to reflect each unique fragrance. The packaging uses illustrations that represent elements tied to each scent, such as orchid flowers, dragonflies, driftwood etc.
