Tripulante del Viejo Mundo – Vermouth Torino Edition
ABOUT
A voyage begins, not in the moment we set sail, but in the moment we dare to dream. Tripulante del Viejo Mundo is more than a vermouth—it is a journey captured in a bottle.
This Torino Edition pays homage to the birthplace of vermouth, drawing inspiration from the great explorers who shaped the world as we know it. Crafted with aged wines and botanicals, this vermouth carries the spirit of adventure, of paths yet to be discovered, and of stories whispered across generations.
Like the seasoned traveler on its label, this vermouth stands with one foot in tradition and the other in the unknown, always searching, always evolving.
CONCEPT
Every great discovery begins with a map.
The visual identity of Tripulante del Viejo Mundo – Torino Edition mirrors the golden era of exploration, where knowledge was carried across oceans and every voyage reshaped the world.
The label design blends vintage cartography, intricate maritime engravings, and symbols of discovery, creating a sense of movement and timelessness. The commanding figure of the traveler, telescope in hand, stands atop relics of past journeys—remnants of empires, celestial guides, and forgotten artifacts—each one a metaphor for the layers of history infused in every sip.
This is not just packaging; it is a portal to another time, inviting those who hold the bottle to embark on their own journey.
SOLUTION
The goal was clear: to design a bottle that felt like an artifact—something unearthed from an explorer’s chest, an object with a story to tell.
Hand-Illustrated Artwork: Inspired by 19th-century expedition logs and classic bookplates, the label feels like a page torn from a navigator’s journal.Gilded Accents & Deep Tones: Gold foiling highlights key elements, mirroring old-world craftsmanship, while the rich hues of deep navy and crimson evoke the warmth of the Italian aperitivo tradition.Tactile Details: From the embossed compass on the bottle to the textured paper, every detail was chosen to enhance the sensory experience of discovery.Typography & Composition: The typeface recalls the elegance of maritime documents and vintage travel posters, reinforcing the balance between adventure and sophistication.
Each detail works together to create a design that is both nostalgic and daring—rooted in tradition, yet restless in its pursuit of something more.
RESULT
The final design doesn’t just sit on a shelf—it invites conversation, sparks curiosity, and calls to be explored.
By integrating narrative-driven design with meticulous craftsmanship, Tripulante del Viejo Mundo becomes more than a drink; it becomes a ticket to an untold journey.
Every element, from the explorer’s stance to the intricate background, contributes to the feeling that this is more than a vermouth—it is a legend in the making.
Because some bottles are meant to be opened. Others, to be discovered.
