Project Title: “Varaahi: Reviving Ancient Wellness”

Project Summary:

Varaahi is a line of premium, Ayurveda-inspired health supplements designed to reconnect consumers with the timeless wisdom of traditional wellness. Our challenge was to create packaging that not only conveyed the product’s natural efficacy but also resonated with the rich cultural heritage of Ayurveda.

Design Approach:

We anchored the design in the profound beauty of Sanskrit, featuring a carefully selected shloka (verse) on the front face of each glass jar. This ancient script, rendered with a delicate, contemporary touch, immediately establishes a connection to the brand’s authentic roots. The choice of glass jars with wooden lid underscores the purity and quality of the product, while also promoting sustainability.

To further elevate the sensory experience and highlight the natural ingredients, we designed a removable sleeve for each box. This sleeve features, hand-drawn illustrations of the various herbs used in each product. The detailed botanicals, rendered in a warm, earthy palette, invite the consumer to explore the natural origins of the Amrita Rasa formulations.

Special Feature: Rose Petal Preserve

The “Gulab Khaas” (Rose Petal Preserve) product received special attention. We amplified its floral essence by incorporating detailed rose illustrations directly onto the jar label. The sleeve of this variant is adorned with a lavish bouquet of hand-drawn roses, creating a truly luxurious and evocative presentation.

Similarly the label of the product Ojas, that is an amalgamation of ‘munakka’ (dried afghan grapes), was created with a wreath of grapes and grape vine.

Consistency and Brand Identity:

The entire Varaahi family, comprising four distinct products, maintains a cohesive visual language through the consistent use of glass jars, the elegant Sanskrit typography, and the hand-drawn botanical illustrations. This unified approach reinforces the brand’s commitment to quality, authenticity, and the holistic principles of Ayurveda.

Impact:

The Varaahi packaging successfully bridges the gap between ancient wisdom and classic yet minimal aesthetics, creating a visually compelling and culturally resonant brand experience. The design not only communicates the product’s beneficial key ingredients but also invites consumers to embark on a journey of wellness rooted in tradition.
