PRODUCT IDEA

Floaroma is an indispensable device for growing plants indoors. I wanted to make this device more functional, so I started looking for ways to improve it. Considering that plant lovers are always very attentive to their plants, I came up with the idea of integrating a video surveillance camera into the phytolamp.

This innovation will allow plant owners to monitor the condition of their green pets through a mobile application, even when away from home. In addition, the fast-forward function will help users track the dynamics of plant growth, similar to how it is shown in nature documentaries.

PACKAGING DESIGN CONCEPT

The packaging of the phytolamp with a video surveillance camera uses an image of a movie camera that seems to “film” the plants, like in a movie. This design not only emphasizes the uniqueness of the product, but also adds an element of interest to the process of growing plants, making the packaging more emotional.

NAMING

“Light. Camera. Grow”. The name combines the processes of filmmaking and plant growing. The original expression “Light. Camera. Action” is familiar to everyone and is associated with the birth of filmmaking. The word “action” was replaced with “grow”, which emphasizes both the functionality of the phytolamp and the growth of plants.

VISUAL DESIGN FEATURES

The camera in the packaging illustration illuminates the flowers. The use of white and gradient creates the effect of glass flowers, referring to the bulbs in the phytolamp, emphasizing its functionality. The color of the light projected by the camera is chosen in shades typical for phytolamps – purple and pink.
