The packaging of Flexin craft beer is inspired by hip-hop culture, especially its bold visual style, often associated with kitsch. Rappers, as the genre’s most vibrant representatives, can’t do without one of its most iconic accessories — chains made of precious metals and stones. These chains have distinct visual features: bold serif typography, unusual shapes, and an abundance of sparkling stones that draw attention.
The main concept of the packaging is to create a bottle that literally “wears” a chain. The main label imitates a pendant on a chain with characteristic typography, including serifs and decorative elements on the letters. In addition, the entire label is designed in the style of gemstone inlay. The neck label depicts the chain and logo. To best capture the chain’s image, the neck and main labels are seamlessly connected.
Visual differentiation of the various beer types is achieved through color gradation. Each color reflects the shades of precious metals: silver, bronze, and gold.
For the main label with its bold typography, names inspired by musical nicknames were chosen, making the packaging resemble a personalized bottle, but with a hip-hop theme. This adds an element of interaction with the bottle, making it more engaging and personalized.
