Mistrà is a typical sugar-free liquor from central Italy, especially from the Marche region, specifically the city of Macerata. For centuries, Italian farmers have been handcrafting Mistrà: since the time of ancient Rome, their protector was the God Silvanus, guardian of crops and nature, to whom farmers dedicated statues and other monuments.
Playing with the name of the producer (Silvano Scalzini), the label reveals the identity of the god through a repositionable sticker that covers his eyes, giving life to a creative interaction between the product and the consumer. The strip can be peeled off and reattached in a different position, changing the face design on the bottle; above it is a phrase: Amato dal Dio Silvano (“Beloved by God Silvanus” in English), which is the title of the project.
In the background, other details stand out thanks to the UV painting with Braille effect: an anise plant in bloom appears behind the God as a crown, and some typical decorations of Roman floors create a geometric texture that intertwines with the other elements.
