Colby as well as Colby-Jack is a “washed curd” cheese first made in Wisconsin in 1885. Both are true American originals. Produced in Arena for decades, these cheeses are known for their distinctive open texture and mild buttery flavors. These cheeses are made by Bill Hanson, Master cheesemaker. Considering this man’s legacy I decided to make the main element of the package the face of Bill Hanson. The result of the work was a package with a premium appearance and a portrait of the creator of the legendary cheese.
