Armenian cognacs “King Tigran” belong to the premium line of the plant. The name was given to it by one of the legendary kings of Armenia – Tigran the Great, who ruled in the 1st century BC. e. For the production of these cognacs, the famous varieties of the Ararat Valley are used: Voskehat, Garandmak, Chilar and others. The climate of the local terroir is reminiscent of the Central Asian one: hot summer allows the berries to ripen and accumulate maximum flavor. The barrels for aging “King Tigran” are made by hand from local Caucasian oak, and the age of the trees reaches 100 years – the more valuable the spirits, the older the tree is used for their aging.
