I reimagined the cover of Alice’s adventures in wonderland. My medium of choice was digital art, on the front cover I used a tool that resembles pencil. I stuck to black and white, and mostly used darker colors, this way I could recreate the mystical atmosphere of the place as described in the book. I emphasized this feeling even more with the strong white rim lighting and the squiggly blades of grass. I made wonderland the exact opposite: really vibrant and a little strange. The colorful shapes with sharp edges make this part of the illustration look more abstract and out of this world. The tiny door detail ties together the front and the back of the book cover, we can see what hides on the other side through it. I also designed a unique title text that blends in the details of the illustration on the front.
