Pchelnik (Apiary) honey pack concept

The packaging design of honey Pchelnik (Apiary) is inspired by chip carving. You can find it on boxes, cutting boards and, of course, on wooden jars of honey, if you take a look into your grandmother’s storage. I love this kind of carving, but, unfortunately, it is not suitable for the mass market and so it is gradually dying out.

That’s why I decided to create packaging that would look hand carved and, at the same time, be eco-friendly, simple and cheap to produce. I made three packages, for Linden, Floral and Buckwheat honeys, which vary in color and pattern. Linden honey is the lightest one and Buckwheat honey is the darkest one. The colors of the packaging correspond to these natural differences.
