“Zui Yan Hong” — The name is derived from the famous line by Northern Song Dynasty poet Li Zhiyi, “Tonight, spare not the blush of drunkenness,” and the design has been commissioned by Linjia (Shenzhen) Tea Co., Ltd. The brand’s founder, after over two decades of steadfast exploration, has pursued the path of discovering pristine teas from Yunnan, meticulously crafting this unique ancient tree black tea through traditional handmade methods.

The central task of the design is to create packaging that not only reflects the founder’s deep emotional connection and relentless pursuit of tea but also highlights the distinctive elegance of “Zui Yan Hong” ancient tree black tea. This tea is nurtured in the pristine forests of Yunnan, at altitudes exceeding a kilometer, where every production area has been tread by the founder, and each leaf embodies the spirit and tradition of localized craftsmanship.

Drawing design inspiration from the aesthetics of the Song Dynasty, we adopt the graceful form of a Song-style round fan as our medium of expression. Through the delicate perspective of a woman from the Song era, we narrate the story behind “Zui Yan Hong” and its unique tea qualities, showcasing not only its immediate beauty but also imparting a profound sense of artistic conception and boundless imagination, integrating the essence of Chinese aesthetics and artistry into the packaging design. In terms of materials and craftsmanship, we have made careful selections, striving to reflect the brand founder’s profound understanding and respect for tea culture in every inch of the packaging paper.
