Villanueva mole liquor is a unique and authentic drink of hand-crafted Mexican origin, which has two varieties: Poblano and Oaxacan Negro.
The Oaxacan Mole Negro liquor is inspired by a traditional recipe of pre-Hispanic origin that has been passed down from generation to generation, coming from the central valleys of Oaxaca. The roots of this recipe are primarily indigenous to the ancient Zapotec culture.
Inspired by an old recipe book from 1817, where chocolate was incorporated for the first time in a mole. Carefully made with ingredients such as table chocolate, ancho chiles, mulatto chiles and spices, where each sip offers a unique sensory experience.
In the design, I tried to reflect the tradition and craftsmanship of the product. On this basis, I developed the illustration, where each variety represents the moment of its production as it was done at that time and today the same methods are still used so as not to lose their essence.
