Simi Mama Birtoka is a small family business, based in Hungary. They produce homemade products like jams, freshly squeezed juices, chutney, etc. Their main focus is on the freshness of their seasonal fruits and vegetables. They have a small vineyard, and my main focus was to design a brand identity for the grape product line.

Redesigning the brand identity itself was a school project, beyond that we could choose individually for which product line we would like to design the packaging. My choice was their unique line, the grounded grape seeds and peel honey mixture.

The client’s request for the new brand appearance was to represent premium quality while keeping the homemade, idyllic feeling. Another request was to try to keep the colors of the product’s main ingredients. With the logo I would like to represent the cottage core style but with fine lines keeping it simple and timeless.

At first sight, the packaging might look like a simple cube, but the opening, the side cuts, and the inner design represent the product and make it interesting. The hexagon is one of the main elements of the packaging design. The hexagon cut in the box represents the honey contained in the product. It is used in the label as well, where the grape is created from the hexagons. It is basically two in one, by which the two main ingredients are represented in one little design.
