Őrségi Nemzeti Park Playing Cards

I had the exciting opportunity to design a unique packaging and deck of cards for Őrségi National Park in Hungary. Known for its vibrant programs and educational camps for children, this park inspired me to create something that kids could take home—a keepsake that would allow them to continue their learning journey in a fun and engaging way.

The packaging and card design seamlessly align with the park’s dynamic branding. The primary color is a lush green, complemented by pastel tones that reflect the softer side of the park’s sub-brands. Each card is adorned with beautiful illustrations of flowers and mushrooms, all native to the park. Alongside the delicate line art, you’ll find both the Hungarian and Latin names of each species, accompanied by charming pictograms.

To ensure the cards stand the test of time, I chose a durable, high-quality paper with a laser foil finish, giving them a sturdy yet elegant feel. The box is not only visually appealing but also practical, featuring a mounted design with an extra protective cover.

The result is a game that’s as educational as it is beautiful—something that both children and adults can enjoy. It’s more than just a souvenir; it’s an invitation to explore, learn, and appreciate the natural beauty of Őrségi National Park long after leaving its trails.
