In global markets, packaging has always played a crucial role in distinguishing a product. Sometimes, this goal is achieved through the appearance of the packaging itself, as a product can fail if it doesn’t stand out. With this in mind, using familiar art forms for the audience in a fresh approach to packaging design can be impactful in attracting customers.
For Zagros brand saffron, the design directly references this idea by incorporating traditional Persian miniature art in a completely white and minimalist space. To enhance the connection between the customer and the product, modern and embossed fonts are used, creating a tactile experience that draws people in upon touch.
To preserve the essence of the saffron, a glass bottle is used instead of plastic containers, which could alter the aroma and flavor of the product and compromise consumer health. Considering India’s climate conditions, a cork stopper is a more suitable alternative to plastic or metal lids, as it absorbs moisture inside the bottle, ensuring the high quality of the saffron is maintained.
