In the middle of the lush Dronne and its bucolic landscape, nestles the village of Brantôme, built around its Abbey, a high monument of French architectural and religious heritage. Surrounded by its stream, in the shade of a cliff, the village is a stone island in the heart of a green landscape. Périgord blanc is a still white wine that can be produced in the vineyards of Bordeaux and the Southwest, and more specifically in the wine regions of Entre-deux-mers and Bergerac. Note that the IGP label has replaced the VDP label (Vin De Pays) since 2009. It also has the “zone” label. The term “Zone” corresponds to a delimited area which can be a department, a municipality or a canton.
