LA CASITA a concept brand that feels as authentic as the product itself—Mexican-style corn chips rooted in tradition and packed with bold, exciting flavors.
The name “LA CASITA” (“The Little House”) shaped the entire design. We wanted the brand to tell a story, so we brought in a warm and nostalgic illustration of a small house and riders on horseback. This element not only connects to the family recipe behind the chips but also evokes a sense of authenticity and tradition that resonates with consumers.
Our design approach focused on balance and impact. The bold, clean typography ensures the brand name and flavor stand out on the shelf while remaining easy to read from a distance. Each flavor—Sea Salt, Spicy Habanero, Lime Cilantro, and Elote Mexicano—gets its own spotlight with playful ingredient visuals, such as salt, corn, and habanero peppers. These elements highlight the flavors while adding a sense of fun and approachability.
The muted background colors, paired with a subtle fabric-like texture, gives the packaging a modern yet rustic feel, reinforcing the brand’s connection to tradition. Meanwhile, the floating chips and flavor cues bring energy and vibrancy to the design, inviting consumers to explore the product’s bold taste and crispy texture.
LA CASITA is gluten-free and steeped in tradition, but it’s also fresh and vibrant, blending the best of both worlds. This design strikes a perfect balance between storytelling and functionality, making it easy to shop while capturing the brand’s essence.
