Prime Kött: White Label with Meaning and Mastery

From Unbranded Legend to Premium Icon
This project began with a rare opportunity: to create a brand for a product that already had a national reputation. For years, this premium beef was sold unbranded at Olímpica supermarkets—yet its quality was so exceptional that it developed loyal followings across Colombia by word of mouth alone.

The challenge was not to convince the market of its value, but to build a brand that could live up to the product’s legacy. Enter Prime Kött—a name and identity we crafted to embody mastery, precision, and indulgence.

Naming & Strategy
The name Prime Kött combines international cues of excellence with a sharp, modern edge. “Kött” (Swedish for “meat”) evokes global culinary sophistication, while “Prime” positions the product at the pinnacle of quality. We sought a name that would resonate with aspirational consumers while standing out with confidence on the shelf.

Visual Identity & Packaging Design
Every element of the branding was designed to reflect the product’s premium nature. The use of deep navy and marble textures on the packaging conveys elegance and permanence, while refined typography communicates tradition and authority. Gold and bronze foil-stamped seals nod to heritage, craftsmanship, and excellence—positioning the product as not just food, but a celebratory ritual.

Circular stamp motifs—like La Mesa de los Maestros—suggest timeless gatherings and shared wisdom, reinforcing the idea that this meat belongs not just in any kitchen, but at the table of grill masters and connoisseurs. The packaging is both classic and contemporary, balancing old-world pride with modern appetite appeal.

The result is a brand that feels inevitable—like it’s always existed—despite being entirely new.

Why It Matters
Prime Kött is not only a private label success story but a demonstration of how design can elevate and amplify an already exceptional product—giving it the voice, prestige, and shelf presence it deserves.
