Milk + Honey is local breakfast restaurant. To me, Milk+Honey should be fun, colorful, friendly, and organic. Since milk is a centerpiece of breakfast, I chose flavored milk as my focal product, with the flavors: original, strawberry, and honey. The specific flavor of each bottle can be determined immediately based on the icon and color of the product.

The bottles are the perfect size for one serving and sit sturdy in your hand. The transparent label on the front is kept simple, in contrast to the black-and-white cow print on the outer packaging, giving contrast and breathing room to the whole design. On the outer packaging, customers can discover recipes for new concoctions such as strawberry milkshakes and honey chai tea latte. Although the cow serves as the main reference to milk, it is not outlined so that customers’ primary focus is not on the cow but on the whole design, with the nose being where you can hold the bottle.

I created the black-and-white cow print and handwritten letters on the wrapping paper and the paper bag. The cow print gives people a key sense of what this place is about; it is a memorable and friendly pattern. The typology reinforces the reminder for customers to enjoy their day with this fresh milk product. The yellow color gives a sense of honey and is a color full of energy, in contrast with the white color of the handwritten letters. Paper bags come in two sizes to fit different portions of purchase. I hope my design can restore to each customer a joyful and energetic heart to start their day.
