In the Vietnamese culture, having a coffee on the street is a kind of relaxation. The sidewalk is rarely used by pedestrians. Not only motorcyclists and motorbike parking, but also the expanded shops of countless street sellers can be found here. From here you can watch the bustling chaotic city from a small stool. Stools have already become a cultural trademark of the country. Vietnamese coffee, or “cà phê phin,” is an instant energy-boosting dark roasted coffee that is brewed with a simple tin drop filter, creating fabulous intense aromas. It takes a few minutes for the coffee to be filtered. This allows to develop the richness of taste and gives time to get lost in the surrounding events and to stop for a bit. Thanks to the condensed milk, it can even serve as a confection.
