Mira is a local brand producing alternative (gluten-free) flour. The brand’s mission is to inspire and encourage people to experiment with different kinds of flours in the kitchen and make baking a fun and experimental activity. The main values of the brand are curiosity, playfulness, excitement and experimentation.
The package was designed with the intention of representing the values of the brand. I chose the purple brand colour as the primary color of the box to increase its recognizability and to distinguish it from the competitors who usually use pastel colors. The box itself is heavily illustration-based which makes the brand friendly and lovable. I paid attention to details in terms of the illustrations, therefore you can find some hidden gems in the box if you are open-eyed.
In terms of the construction, I needed to consider the weight of the product and needed to make sure that the box could be closed properly after using it – to avoid flour spread all over your kitchen due to low-quality packaging.
