BRAND & PRODUCT
A brand that produces vegan, non-toxic and scented with natural essential oils bubble soaps and follows the principles of sustainability and circular economy, using recycled materials such as orange peels or coffee grounds harvested from a local coffee shop in its products.
Little Danube is named after the Danube River and symbolizes the brand founder’s journey from East to West Europe and her childhood nostalgic memories. Each soap is named after the city through which the Danube flows and has a key ingredient that creates the history of the soap.
OBJECTIVES
I was tasked with developing branding and packaging design that would embody a playful and fun aesthetic that appeals to today’s young, conscious generation of girls who are committed to being mindful and conscious of themselves and the planet and are looking for a more eco-friendly alternative to harmful soaps that is combined with a more sensual, fragrant and enjoyable usage experience.
SOLUTION
To form the updated image of LITTLE DANUBE, I first thought of simplifying and strengthening the distinctive features and recognizability of the main persona that acts as the face of the brand – so this mysterious girl was born. In the packaging design, she is complemented by fluid and relaxed shapes on the background that play with the combination of shades of turquoise, pink and blue that form the entire line of 8 soaps. A more detailed version of the logo, based on a circle representing a soap bubble, looks dynamic, friendly, open and youthful thanks to the asymmetrical and slanted text.
