Respo Smart Home Water System

PRODUCT

Respo is a smart ionized water system. It helps to hydrate human bodies effectively and allows users to take care of the home environment using natural means. The product is orientated towards environmentally conscious, health-conscious, and innovation-seeking consumers. Product design is minimal, solid, and highly functional, created to inspire positive changes in everyday life.

The product’s packaging was developed through a collaborative effort between Younique Studio, which handled the branding and design, and PinProof Studio, which focused on the unboxing experience, structural design, durability, materials, and sustainability aspects.

CHALLENGE

Delivering high-end appliances like Respo presents significant challenges. These systems are not only heavy but come with multiple sensitive components requiring utmost protection during transportation. Traditional packaging solutions fail to meet these practical needs. They also lack aesthetics, do not complement the premium nature of the product and are not sustainable.

SOLUTION

The task was to create packaging that would provide an uplifted and hassle-free experience in every step – from shipping to the assembly process. Furthermore, it was important to ensure a robust protection of the product, while meticulously minimizing the amount used to align with sustainability goals.

The use of high-density materials ensures the device withstands impacts and vibrations during shipping. Secure locking mechanisms are integrated to prevent accidental openings during transit.

The packaging opens from both the top and facade. This dual-access system allows safe and easy retrieval of the product. The intuitive layout ensures that all elements are clearly visible and can be removed in a logical sequence, making the initial setup smooth.

The packaging design is minimal, yet characteristic. The hexagonal shape, reflecting the product’s and brand’s identity, is prevalent throughout the details. The interior design thoughtfully arranges the Respo system and accessories in layered black boxes, ensuring solid presentation and logical unpacking sequence.

SUSTAINABILITY

• Eco-Friendly Materials: Recyclable materials such as corrugated cardboard, cardboard, and honeycomb structures.
• Space Optimization: Designed to ship flat, maximizing space and reducing emissions, thanks to a no-glue, foldable design.
• Protection Innovation: Employs air gaps and minimal foam inserts only in one box to protect fragile parts, ensuring safety without excess waste.
