Kombi Kombucha is a vibrant and laid-back brand project, created as a conceptual branding study for an artisanal kombucha brand from Santiago, Chile. Inspired by the free spirit and nostalgia of road trips, the brand features a retro vintage mascot: a charming Volkswagen Kombi holding a can of kombucha in its “hands.” This mascot is not just a visual symbol but a celebration of a healthy, outdoor lifestyle and the joy of being with friends and loved ones.
The visual identity of Kombi Kombucha is composed of a warm and earthy color palette, with caterpillar yellow, earthy green, and coral red, creating a welcoming harmony. Black is used intelligently to provide contrast and highlight key design elements, crafting an aesthetic that is both modern and nostalgic. Each color was carefully chosen to represent one of the refreshing flavors in the lineup: Mojito, Mango and Passion Fruit, Strawberry and Tuna.
The packaging developed for the kombucha cans reflects this identity: attractive and with a contemporary look, they invite consumers to connect with the lifestyle the brand promotes. In addition to the cans, clothing items were included in the brand’s product range, expanding the experience and allowing consumers to carry a piece of this lifestyle with them.
