Curator’s Insight:
The packaging design for Petra Casella wine, created by Durante Associati, stands out for its use of vintage-inspired photography and layered textures. The torn paper effect on the label adds depth, creating an engaging visual contrast between the upper and lower portions of the figure. The strategic use of embossing and foil stamping, along with lightning bolts and stars, gives the label a modern, playful twist while still retaining a touch of elegance. The cotton paper substrate enhances the tactile experience, creating a more premium feel. With its subtle yet impactful use of colors—particularly the soft pink tones reflecting the rosato wine—the design evokes both sophistication and approachability. Overall, the packaging is a compelling blend of tradition and contemporary design, resonating with the brand’s Italian heritage and innovative spirit.
